About Us:
Indiana Electrical License Prep Inc. was founded in 1989 by Michael Fox after he struggled for several years trying to find a program that would prepare him for his Master Electrician's License. In 1985 he found a program advertised in a construction magazine by Mike Holt Enterprises that more than prepared him for the exam. After Mr. Fox passed his exam in 1986 he asked Mr. Holt if he could use the Mike Holt program in the Indianapolis area. Mike Holt was very helpful and allowed Mike to try a program on a trial basis. IELP has held Mike Holt classes from that day on.
Hundreds of electricians from Indiana, Ohio and Illinois have taken this class and successfully obtained their Master Electrician's license.
Mike has been an electrician since 1980 and has been a licensed Master Electrician since 1986. Some of his background includes working as a railroad electrician, hospital electrician, industrial electrician and four years as an electrical contractor. In 1990 Mike took his present job with the Indianapolis Public School system as their Electrical Foreman. He credits IPS with giving him exposure to a huge variety of electrical systems. Mike received electrical theory training through his apprenticeship but continued his training at IUPUI, taking their two year Practical Industrial Electronics program.
In addition to electrical training, Mike received an associates degree from Ivy Tech in HVAC Technology and has held his HVAC license since 1980. Mike believes in continuing education, taking refresher courses through Mike Holt Enterprises and the NFPA. Mr. Fox also credits a good portion of his success to Mike Holt (Mike Holt Enterprises) for allowing him to use his dynamic training products for over 20 years now.
